Employment Awareness
Months
Immigrant Champions of Canada proudly hosts 4 of the 6 employment awareness months in Canada, with a goal of shining light on opportunities for growth.
We kick off the year with Women Employment Awareness Month (WEAM) in March, Youth Employment Awareness Month (YEAM) in April, People of Colour (POC) Employment Awareness Month (PEAM) in May, and Black Employment Awareness Month (BEAM) in September.
Due to the intersecting nature of our work and our mission of creating thriving communities, we also join the Disability community in October for Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) and the Indigenous communities in November for Indigenous Employment Awareness Month (IEAM). As an organization dedicated to representation for all, we see these awareness months as a chance to drive meaningful conversations about employment disparities and promote a culture of inclusion.
