Canada is one of the counties with the most post secondary educated individuals in the world but did you know that a big percentage of those numbers are influenced by immigrants pursuit of education in Canada?
The Immigration Department report, obtained through an access to information request, found 36 percent of the children of immigrants aged 25 to 35 held university degrees, compared to 24 percent of their peers with Canadian-born parents.
What does these high numbers mean for the employers and the immigrants? Perhaps a move towards employment justice that will see to it that the most educated in our society aren't the ones flipping burgers at Tim Hortons but rather using their knowledge and intellect to enrich Canadian society
